Scientific research shows that even a small amount of time in nature can have a positive impact on our health. Spending time in nature has been shown to reduce concentrations of cortisol, lower pulse rate, lower blood pressure, increase parasympathetic nerve activity, and lower sympathetic nerve energy.
A two-hour forest bath will help you to unplug from technology and slow down. It will bring you into the present moment and de-stress and relax you. It will get you out of your head and bring you back into the body, calming the mind and will increase your connection to Nature. .
Forest Bathing sessions consist of gentle walks in which a guide uses a range of techniques to slow people down, calling attention to sensory experiences of the forest and its environment. The forest is the therapist and I am here as a guide, working in partnership with the more than human world to give the participants an opportunity to connect with the wisdom of nature in their own way. This is not a prescriptive walk, I do not tell you what the outcome will be. Let the magic of the forest come through your own connection to Nature!
